Coronavirus Silver Linings
18 June 2020
Coronavirus has affected everyone and there have been 404K deaths in the whole world. There are some good things which have come out of it, that is what the word silver linings means. Here’s my top 5 Coronavirus silver linings:
- In the UK, the government has brought in homeless people and put them in hotels.
- People have been developing skills they have never tried before.
- In the UK there has been an increase in reading. During April 2020, the Reading Agency did a survey with more then 2,000 people in the UK. They found out that 31% have been reading more since lockdown began.
- More people who don’t normally go to church have gone to it, as it has been online.
- Families have been able to spend more time with each other as most children are at home.
What other coronavirus silver linings have there been? What have you been reading? Are there more books you can read ? Do you have any arts and crafts that you haven’t finished? If so, do them! Find a time to read and get crafty everyday, maybe for 20 minutes after lunch or just before you go to bed!

Hi Charis. I LOVED your first blog post! Being able to see the silver linings in life is such an important skill. Being thankful for all the good and the more challenging things that God allows in our lives enables us to see God’s hand at work and frees us to be a blessing to people around us. Having a balanced view is so important and something we all need to practice regularly!
I love to craft, but I don’t read as much as I used too. Maybe I need to get back into it! Thanks for the prompt to do that. Can’t wait for your next post. Love you lots, Aunty Lou

I am one of those people who have read more. I don’t normally read very much but so far over lockdown I’ve read 5 books.
