The Train Incident

For my school work last week, I had to write a mystery story. Here it is;

7 AM

All was dark and as the fog danced through the sky, a scream went through the house. Bursting through the doors came… 1666 – a secret agent. She was doing her morning patrol, around the block, when the bloodcurdling scream came and went. As quick as a flash, she ran round the corner to meet with… Talathia Johnson’s house. 1666 couldn’t believe her eyes as she stormed through the doors. The room had had a thorough search. The windows were smashed; obviously a break-in. The bed covers were withdrawn from Talathia as she was attacked. They held scorch marks from the attack. Laid before her, were the culprits all in black and wearing masks, this meant one thing… it was the Black Ninjas. Bundled in a sack, rang out a voice, “Help me!” Out of one of the Black Ninja’s pockets fell a note. ‘TRAMPLING HER AT TRAIN STATION 10’. Looking around 1666 wondered if it was all a trick. First, she had to drop by Amazon HQ.

30 minutes later…

Amazon HQ was based in Seattle. While 1666 lives in beautiful Ballyclare, she travels to Seattle (by the super speedy rocket pack) most weeks for work. As long as the workers didn’t know there was an agency working at Amazon, everything would be fine. Quickly, she would slip away to go underground to get to the Central Intelligence Agency.  Opening the hatch, the lever was pulled and the invisibility core surrounded her. She went down underground, leaving a note for William Burns (head of the CIA- Central Intelligence Agency). 1666 flew undercover so she returned to the airport as old Miss Archer. She soon settled down in Ballyclare and went off to the train station. She pulled out the ‘Belfast Telegraph’ and scanned the articles. Talathia’s name popped up on one of the sheets of newspaper. ‘Irish Pub ‘ The Five Corners’ causes havoc over ‘The Irish Times’ article’. Apparently Talathia had written an article all about how bad drinking was and the Five Corner’s customers had gotten mad. She peered over her newspaper and saw the oddest-looking man opening the doors of the room underneath the railway. He should have some papers to prove he had access to the area. If so, she could stay there too for the night. An interesting thought hit her mind, ‘The man is evil, Talathia is being held here.’ Her mannerly stride turned into a run to the ‘The Five Corners’.

Soon enough the sleuth found herself inside the pub interviewing the landlord about his customers. He seemed happy enough and every detail appeased her. “I ain’t know nothin’ about these men except they are leaving to go to Bristol this afternoon.” said the landlord cheerfully. He mentioned that the men were up all night and had left the pub. “They come back about 10 o’clock each night,” he explained.

She went and knocked on the door, ‘KNOCK, KNOCK’ at the train station. The same man who opened up the door earlier looks out of the door and decided to find out who did the knocking. Something bubbled up inside him. All he wanted to do was to find the mystery knocker and go back inside to the warm fire… but they would be having a surprise come ten o’clock. On the other hand, Talathia slipped inside but little did she know that the men were expecting her, and all guns were pointed at the door. This murderous gang would only let people with the password enter through into the dining room. She pushed open the doors finding a trigger about to be let loose…

1666 dived under the table missing firing bullets! As she got closer to the fire, her eyesight became blurry from all the smoke. Eventually, she could see her friend and dodged another firing pistol. Soon enough they were out of anything to fire so it turned into a major fight. Most of the dingy room was filled with Black Ninjas lying unconscious on the ground. Just as the fire got to Talathia’s feet, 1666 jumped in and cut her free from the ropes that bound her. Groggily, the men woke up and then a man shouted “Look she is helping her escape!” So, both women got tied to the pole but Talathia had a cunning plan. The TJ (Talathia Johnson) had a shoe knife and as soon the men were happy to leave the women to burn, she pulled it out and 1666 looked surprised.

“How on earth did you do that, The Black Ninjas are well known for the stealing of people’s property, how did they not find it?”

“Well, they tell you to open your pockets and take your possessions, they don’t bother to look at shoes. Anyway, this has happened before,” responded TJ.

“What?!!” remarked 1666.

“When the Black Ninjas didn’t exist, me and my brother lived in England in the countryside,” explained TJ. “One day, after watching a programme about criminals, he decided to become one. My mother and I had such a fright that we ran away. My brother wanted me to help him but I refused. I became his enemy and he sought to kidnap me. As soon as he found out I owned a bookshop, he came to find me. My father is somewhere near as he is the boss of all the Ninjas. Now enough talking let’s sneak out!”

They went down the corridor and down the stairs, the gang seemed to be having a meeting in the briefing room. As soon as they felt the outside air, the twosome ran and got a taxi. Meanwhile, Mr Johnson (Ninja Boss) said “I believe you got some people of great interest.” Jack then went and fetched these citizens. A few minutes later, he came back out of breath and says, “They’re gone!!”

“Jeremy Johnson must be the one to be thrown into the Lions’ Den,” said the boss. At least, Talathia’s insufferable brother was gone. The Lions’ Den was a spiky cage on top of a fearsome fire so he would die in a few days. Jeremy’s heart pounded at these words.

By this time, TJ and 1666 were at the airport. TJ looked frantically around her and wondered if they were coming after her. They were. They put on their jetpacks and just as she was going to take off, she was pulled down. Her heart roared at her protest to get away but gave up. She was about to get rid of the smell of the nasty airport floor but the Black Ninjas were going to stop her. 1666 was wondering where was TJ all this time as she turned her head. Zooming to the airport, she tugged, pulled and kicked the enemy until her friend was out of the Ninja’s hands. They were not amiable one bit.

10 minutes later…

In Washington DC, the people were amazed at the rocket packs. On G St, the army was gathered up and followed them over the city. After a bit of driving, they hitched a drive with the helicopter.

The team was surrounding the base of the Ninjas. The day was so perfect until the plan began. KNOCK, KNOCK. “Hello, delivery.” said the army officer. The door opened and … ATTACK! Kicks and punches went left and right. Finally, the officer said “Come on out with your hands up.” The Ninjas did, well most of them. Mr Johnson came out with a gun and then nothing was pretty. He was killed by a machine gun. That night all the gangs in Ireland and USA left as they knew that they would soon be caught.
